IC CHARACTERISTICS:
•CURRENT CANON POINT: at the end of Saiyuki: Reload (the end of the 'Even A Worm' arc)
•PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Sanzo is 5'9" with golden blond hair and violet eyes. Overall, he's very good looking to his great distaste. He has a red chakra on his forehead, proof that he was chosen and approved by the gods. He usually wears lose robes with a green-bordered scroll (the Maten Sutra) draped over one shoulder. Underneath the robes he's usually wearing jean and tight sleeveless turtleneck along with black finger-less gloves. He has a large number of scars, but they're generally covered by his usual outfits. He mostly smells of cigarette smoke and gunpowder.
•DEMEANOR: Sanzo tends to stand back, ranging from aloof to actively unfriendly depending on the moment and interpretation. He almost constantly has a cigarette, even when he's not smoking, and his hair often hangs over his eyes. He's always aware of his surroundings though he can appear indifferent to them, and often is.
•ABILITIES: Sanzo carries the Maten Sutra, which generally sits on his shoulder, which he can use to ward against evil by reciting a mantra, which he uses very rarely. He's most likely to use his gun, with which he's an incredibly good shot. He's also good in hand-to-hand combat. Despite being a human he's able to beat not just other humans who look much taller and stronger but also youkai. For better or worse, he has the strength of will to keep fighting even after something like receiving major burns. He's also good at putting information together, figuring out plans and what other people are planning.
•MEDICAL INFORMATION: Normal human, mood unlikely to be improved by being in the infirmary
•CABIN INFORMATION: Brown wood door, that looks like what you might find in a cheap motel. The room inside reinforces that, with not much more than two twin beds and table and chairs.
•OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS: Depending on the moment, everything, but he doesn't necessarily react. He dislikes gods, any comment about him, guilt over death of parents/parental figures, people trying to offend him.
