...that first one isn't something I can adequately explain other than to say 'the layer of reality that people go to when they sleep'. As for the trees, they believe in... in equivalent exchange. If Envy gives it the pieces of themself they don't want, the tree will replace it with growing, living wood. Wood that I bet would be able to hold what Envy actually is instead of just what made them up.
[He would be perfectly happy to be kept out of it, but he does, unfortunately, have a job. Besides, the Barge is what it is. A third person to get the alarm out might be necessary, and if not, if it's long he can always take a brief nap.]
